Dementia Australia has released translations of four key COVID-19 Help Sheets with tips for carers, families, friends and care providers of people living with dementia.
The sheets have now been translated into 38 languages, providing much-needed support for the estimated one in eight Australians who live with dementia and do not speak English at home.
Dementia Australia CEO Maree McCabe says early feedback has been positive.
“People from diverse communities sometimes face difficulties with language and a lack of knowledge of the service systems available to people living with dementia in Australia,” she said.
“At this time, people living with dementia are some of the most vulnerable groups in society. The needs of all people living with dementia must be a priority.”

We think it’s a great idea.
