Few things say Saturday morning more than lining up at Bunnings for the iconic $2 sausage sizzle.
But with COVID restrictions many Australians have had to go without in 2020.
The good news?
From Saturday, October 10, most of us will be able to re-indulge with these BBQ-d snacks, with sausage sizzles returning to Bunnings outlets in the ACT and NSW.
Bunnings outlets in Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory were back in business earlier in July.
Bunnings chief operating officer Deb Poole confirmed the good news in a radio interview with 2GB this week, saying there will be plenty of measures to make sure picking up your sanga is COVID-safe.
“There is extra hygiene and cleaning taking place, social distancing, and we’ll be using the NSW app so customers can check in to make sure it’s safe for the customers and the community,” she said.
This leaves Victoria as the last state waiting for the sausage sizzles to return, but hopefully they’ll be back to business before too long.
