Only in America: US satisfaction level drop to lowest point in nine years

US satisfaction in the state of national affairs has fallen to its lowest point in nine years, in a sign that COVID-19 is really starting to take a toll on US citizens.

The findings come from Gallup, which regularly conducts public opinion polls.

The poll, conducted from July 1 to 23, asked residents if they were satisfied or dissatisfied “with the way things are going in the United States at this time”.

Unsurprisingly, only 13% of Americans said they were satisfied.

The findings come after a 45% satisfaction rate was recorded in February 2020, which is interestingly the highest level since 2005.

With more than 4.8 million COVID-19 cases confirmed – and a President who maintains the virus “will go away” – we suppose you can’t blame anyone in the US for questioning the state of things at this minute.
