Don and Joyce Hoffman, both aged 90, have been reunited – one month after Joyce tested positive for COVID-19 on 1 May.

Luckily, Joyce only experienced minor symptoms, but the couple were kept apart for the longest time in their 67-year marriage.

Staff at their assisted living facility in Indiana celebrated Joyce’s “graduation” from their coronavirus unit – surprising Don, who didn’t know when he would be seeing his wife again.

“You look so wonderful … so beautiful,” Don said as staff helped Joyce up so they could hug.

“How can you be so cute?” Joyce replied.

A happy ending for the happy couple.
