Are you a leader working in aged care? This mentoring program could be for you

Industry peak body Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) has just launched a new Mentoring Program to support emerging leaders in aged services.

The five-month partnership and online training program is available to people working in aged care services Australia-wide and will give Mentees access to one-on-one support and guidance from experienced industry Mentors.

Mentees will be matched with a Mentor outside their organisation to help build networks across the industry, and there are also online resources and coaching available to help Mentees develop their skills and get the most benefit from the program.

LASA’s CEO Sean Rooney says the Program is an opportunity that has been unavailable in aged care until now.

“There has never been a more important time to focus on developing and retaining talented age services professionals,” he said.

“They are the people who will help us transform and sustain our industry as a thriving, energetic and innovative enabler for ageing well into the future.”

Mentoring through the Program is due to start in April.

If you would like to register as a Mentor or a Mentee, please visit the LASA website, email mentoring@lasa.asn.au or call 0488 123 125.
