Odyssey Private Aged Care will be hosting the Odyssey Grand Master Series – aimed at surfers aged 70 and up – in the safe zone at Currumbin Alley on Sunday, 29 March, 7am-11am.

Keen surfers are invited to wax up their boards and head down for a day of fun in the sun, which will include two divisions: 70 to 80 years old and 80 years plus, with events tailored accordingly.

There’s even a tandem surfing event for grandparents eager to jump on a board with the grandkids.

Odyssey founder and CEO Phil Usher, himself a surfer, says the competition will show that surfing is not just for grommets.

“Some of the best men and women in the water are venturing into their senior years,” he said.

Participation is free – to enter, please complete the entry form here and send to melinda@zakazukha.com.
