“We have the oil…” Donald Trump exceeds himself in blatant gunboat democracy.

President Trump held a press conference in the White House with the president of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan.

While American officials have been stating that US troops remaining in north-east Syria are there to fight Isis Mr Trump said:

“We are keeping the oil. We have the oil. The oil is secure. We left trips behind only for the oil”.

No shame. No thoughts of innocence being killed and displaced.

Shame.
