Another day, another PR meltdown for Trump.
The embattled president has been blasted this week over a violent video played for his supporters in his Miami resort.
The video, a parody of a scene from the film Kingsman, depicts a doctored Trump shooting, bludgeoning and stabbing a band of his critics and the media dubbed “The Church Of Fake News.”
The former reality TV star was not present for the event, but he has not escaped widespread scorn for failing to condemn the vision.
Critics noted Trump, who claims he has not seen the offending footage, was very active on Twitter in the hours when it was going viral on the platform.
They argue the video could inspire real-life violence – a compelling argument in a climate of mass-shootings blighting the US.
But if the past is the clue to the future, the scandal is unlikely to deter his followers.
