The conversations of life

Cheers mate, I’ll have a BruChocs please!

I must admit I’ve only ever been through Adelaide airport, so the idiosyncrasies of the South Australian psyche are something alien to me.

However, I’m told on good authority that their ‘culinary’ tastes are ‘unique’.  Therefore, it’s no surprise that they’ve come up with a beer variation of the State’s native dish FruChocs.

Adelaide-based Big Shed Brewing, this week announced the release of the limited-run BruChocs, reportedly a “hearty chocolate stout” infused with the signature “Fru,” which I’m led to believe is the signature apricot/peach heart of the traditional FruChoc itself.

In anticipation of the State’s planned FruChocs Appreciation Day, the brewery pumped bottles and kegs of the beer off the production line so thirsty South Australians were able to get as much of the malty delight before supplies ran out.

However, if you’re drooling at the prospect of a pint of the frosty imperial, a little bird told me they sold out in 15 minutes!

Shame! I’ll have to stick to a rhubarb, ginger gin and tonic. Cheers!
