An Adelaide AFL fan out for a night at the footy bit into his Balfours meat pie to find nothing inside but air (pictured) – right after his team, the Adelaide Crows, lost 85-73 to the West Coast Eagles in the last quarter of the game (to add to the humiliation).
The man quickly took to social media to express his confusion, posting a photo of the empty pastry crust with the caption: “Hey Balfours … forget something?”.
The iconic South Australian bakery has said it recognised the issue and will be “working with Adelaide Oval to put in place measures to ensure this doesn’t happen again.”
