Arcare opens $47m luxury QLD aged care facility on Bowls Club land

The Victorian organisation Arcare will open the doors of its 37th aged care home in Springwood, 20 minutes south of Brisbane.

The family-owned operator (John, Russell and Graham Knowles plus Ian Ball) outbid three other private developers paying $4.4 million to secure the 8,797 square metre site – previously the home of the popular Springwood Bowls Club.

It is one of the largest parcels of commercial land in the Logan City area and had received plenty of interest from buyers because it is close to the Pacific Motorway.

Arcare has invested $750,000 in a unique board walk that will run alongside the residence.

A practising aged care physiotherapist for the past 13 years, Jill has worked in more than 50 metropolitan and regional aged care homes. She has also toured care facilities across the US and Africa. She is a passionate advocate for both the residents in aged care and the staff that serve them.
