Aged care residents and high school students come together for choir – and the video will warm your heart

It’s not been an easy week for those working in aged care so when we came across this wonderful video, we knew we had to share it with you.

Residents at Cooinda Village and Year 7 students from the FCJ College in Benalla, northeast Victoria, have been coming together as a choir for the past seven years, rehearsing for seven weeks to hold their annual ‘Let’s Find Our Voice’ concert at the local performing arts centre.

Year 10 students also work with some of the residents to write their memoirs which are presented on the day – helping to build the bridge between the generations.

But the highlight has to be this video produced by Christine Walters featuring the students, residents and team at Cooinda – the third one they’ve done.

It will make you smile, laugh, sing along – and maybe even shed a tear.
