Aussie as: Queensland grandmother just casually pulls two pythons out of barbie – with her bare hands

Anyone’s who’s called Australia ‘The Lucky Country’ hasn’t come face-to-face with some of our lovely native fauna.

Fortunately, we have a new hero in our corner – 81-year-old Faye Morgan from Brisbane who’s been captured defending us all from two pythons that had taken up residence in her barbecue.

Check out this footage posted to the 7 News Facebook page here.

“I live for the drama!” Ms Morgan says, as she wrangles the reptiles into a plastic crate without raising an eyebrow.

The feat has earned her the admiration of hundreds of people from around the world.

“OMG she is better than me I would have run for the hills,” one user wrote.

Of course, pythons aren’t venomous – but they do kill their prey by crushing or constricting them.

Personally, we’d have taken the advice of another commenter: “Should’ve wheeled that bbq to the footpath with a ‘Free’ sign attached.”
