If you’re still scratching around for the perfect Father’s Day present for Dad, here’s an idea.
The BrewDog Brewery in Ohio, USA, has just opened the doors on “the world’s first beer hotel where you can wake up inside a brewery.”
The DogHouse has 32 rooms, many overlooking the brewing facility and workers below, and each with a fully-stocked beer fridge and bathrooms with built-in-shower fridges so you can crack a cold one while you wash off – hop-infused soaps and malted barley massages optional.
Guests will be greeted with a complimentary beer on arrival (naturally) and will be able to enjoy a range of beer-related games and activities like beer pong (yes, it’s a thing).
Patrons and visitors can also check out the hotel’s “interactive” beer museum which offers a hands-on experience show what goes into making craft beer (we’re guessing that means a lot of ‘samples’).
The ‘beer utopia’ already has plenty of fans. BrewDog crowdfunded the project with the aim of raising US$75,000 – instead its “global community of beer evangelists” tipped in over US$300,000.
You’ll want to book in now though – we predict that the hipsters will be flocking very soon.
