Aussie boy makes international headlines – after stealing mum’s credit card and taking off to Bali

It’s the ‘A Current Affair’ executive’s dream story. The 12-year-old, nicknamed ‘Drew’ by the program which he appeared on this week, did a reverse ‘Home Alone’ after a fight with his parents.

Tricking his grandmother into giving him his passport, he booked a holiday to the Indonesian island. Telling his family he was heading off to school, the boy instead rode his razor scooter to the local train station and went to the airport before hopping on two flights.

On arrival, he checked himself into the All Seasons Resort (as you do).

The little adventure was only exposed after his school reported him missing – and his family realised he was in Bali (we wonder if he heard his mother’s screams from here).

She has told press her son doesn’t like hearing the word ‘no’. What about the words ‘you’re grounded – for life’?
