The conversations of life

11-year-old Amira brings you a message of Love in Venice

Sometimes you see a performance and you know it’s something very special. This performance by 11-year-old Amira Willighagen is one of those.

Amira’s rendition here of “O Mio Babbino Caro” from Puccini’s opera Gianni Schicchi alongside André Rieu last year is just stunning.

Born in the Netherlands in 2004, Amira has been gifted with an extraordinary voice. Apparently, she has never taken a single music lesson in her life, but her natural talent and the ways she performs speak for themselves.

Winner of Holland’s Got Talent

Amira took out first place in Holland’s Got Talent when she was only nine. At such a young age, she has so much innate talent.

It’s hard to watch this video without being moved and uplifted. Have a hanky or some tissues close by.

Frank and Earnest love to have conversations about the things that matter in life to most people but especially to those of us with a few years behind us. We start some conversations, we pick up others, we share stories and ideas and try to stimulate thinking.
